More Winter Related Inkings

More winter inspired drawings I have done. I used ink washes and pen. I think my favorite medium is INK! If you haven't noticed, I like forests...and snow.

I have a Christmas Post prepared!

The Start of Winter

Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons, but winter takes the cake. I have been experimenting with ink washes and ink from a pen. Since I haven't added to my adventures series (my favorite of all my drawings) for awhile due to a lack of motivation. With winter here, I've got plenty of ideas, and it's great because I'll have time. This is the first of several wintry drawings!

I thought this tea would follow nicely after the scene above.

Antoine Doinel

Look what I did! A portrait of Jean Pierre Leaud for my Design class. I used the words 'Antoine Doinel' to "color" it in. So this is comprised entirely of words. Quite fun. There is a secret that makes it all somewhat easier, but I won't tell you. I used a micron pen.
I should probably try photographing my drawings better....

Haven't been doing as much fun work because school and tv shows have been absorbing my time...BUT CHRISTMAS BREAK IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! Alas, I will be using that time to prepare my portfolio for submission to an art school...

Here is the picture I referred to (I think the lips in my drawing are a bit off):

Here are some blurry detail shots:

Monotypes!

I made four monotypes in one of my classes using cotton paper and black oil paint. It was extremely fun. Here is a link if you are interested learning more about monotyping.
I also did a scribb very fast.

More Ink

Some random drawings...the subject matter in these drawings seemr to become more unrelated with each post.

Scribb #103

Unfinished piece from my drawing class; a still life rendered in india ink with a bamboo brush.

A Detail, for fun.

Photos to supplement this post because instead of drawing, I have been watching tv.

The African Grey makes another appearance on my blog.

Ink

Different yet same medium....INK! Did a quick picture to test out my ability with ink and a brush. It turned out ok, hopefully more to come as I become more ambitious.

Some photos that I took with a similar mood.

Going to Cross

Another drawing for class, and I got to choose my own subject matter.
This one is large, 18x24, all the other ones on here are either 8x10 or 9x12.

One Hundred

I finished an assignment in one day, though it was supposed to span two days. So, for the other second day, I drew whatever I wanted.

So I reverted back to what I normally like drawing!
Also, it's the hundredth scribb!
I don't have a gigantic pile of papers...I wonder where they all are...

Fun drawings finally!

My recent endeavors. All of these have to do with my secret project.
Almost at my 100th Scribb!!!!!!!

School Assignments

All of these except for the last one were school assignments.

First two are based on Notan.

Here is an example that I did not do from here

EXPANDED SQUARES: My Notan(s) from my design class.

DRAWING II ASSIGNMENT: Draw your shoe at a distance from one another....my distance is sort of awkward but I think my rendering is okay. My oxfords/brogues/spectators.

This is for a project I've created for myself that I won't tell anyone about.

Artists that I like PT. II

This is just a post to show some more artists I like/admire. I did another one many months ago...you can see here.
I do not have the sources for the photos, fyi, and I do not take credit for them.
Enjoy!

AUBREY BEARDSLEY

I've always loved illustrations.

WAYNE THIEBAUD

I'm so happy about Wayne Thiebaud's pantings because the 1st, the 3rd, and the last are at the De Young museum in the permanent collection...a museum I can easily visit.
