RANDOM to the MAXXX

This week and next, I shall be studying for my dreaded human anatomy finals!! I'm a tad bit nervous, because since being accepted into a four-year university as a transfer kid, I have become a lazy potato. ANYWAY, I also have way too many writing assignments. All the classes were smooth sailing until now. With the end looming near, a storm has brewed....I don't know if I will make it out alive. (I probably will.)

RANDOM COMPILATION OF DRAWINGS!!!
(none of these are scribbs, btw.)

Inspired by the poem, Barrio Beateo by Jesse F. Garcia. This was for a project for my lit class.

Oil painting of a donut that was accepted into a student show at my community college. YEAH!

EYE OF THE TIGER!! VERY quick sketch of a tiger's eye I saw online.
Preparation for a potential commission. :D

Another quick sketch, even quicker....you can probably tell. I used a picture as reference; it looked like a wolf, but I made it look a bit like a husky here...except the snout is shorter on a husky...NEVER MIND.

Sketches and Inky Musings

I had free time between my studies, eating, and watching tv, so I drew these on a whim. I still like drawing hair.

I have also decided to introduce a new "character" to those Adventure Drawings I always do; it will be a guy but there will be NO romantic overtones. The main "character" will also have a new look. 2012 is a time for change, I guess. So these are some quick sketches of things to come.

Sketches that I did from a book on Japanese Street Style...compiled from FRUiTS Magazine...

Antoine Doinel

Look what I did! A portrait of Jean Pierre Leaud for my Design class. I used the words 'Antoine Doinel' to "color" it in. So this is comprised entirely of words. Quite fun. There is a secret that makes it all somewhat easier, but I won't tell you. I used a micron pen.
I should probably try photographing my drawings better....

Haven't been doing as much fun work because school and tv shows have been absorbing my time...BUT CHRISTMAS BREAK IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! Alas, I will be using that time to prepare my portfolio for submission to an art school...

Here is the picture I referred to (I think the lips in my drawing are a bit off):

Here are some blurry detail shots:

More Ink

Some random drawings...the subject matter in these drawings seemr to become more unrelated with each post.

Unfinished piece from my drawing class; a still life rendered in india ink with a bamboo brush.

A Detail, for fun.

Photos to supplement this post because instead of drawing, I have been watching tv.

The African Grey makes another appearance on my blog.

Drawings that aren't serious.

I'm rather busy now...and taking four art classes. So, most of my creativity will be for grades now...probably less drawings will be posted here since I vowed to myself not to post any potential portfolio pieces on here. Anyway.

I drew this in a card for someone, so its rather small.

This is a reference to the first drawing I ever put on this blog...ever. You can compare here.

Explosion of Photos and Fireworks!

I guess I'm compensating for my lack of posts with tons of photos. All these drawings were very quick, and therefore, they are very rough...some of them still had the pencil lines. I've been best friends my calculator for the past weeks, so I've neglected my pencils and pens.

I took a walk on this path in a park in SF. The real version is much better.

Just some quick sketches from pictures I saw on the interwebs:

DOC MARTENS!!!!
I drew this when I was hunting online for them. I got a pair on ebay as an early birthday gift and my feet have felt extremely cool for the past week. I was going to to color in the threads...This drawing took some concentration along with the next.

A badly rendered image of a Diana F I'm borrowing.

My little cheap telephone necklace. I don't wear necklaces, but I made an exception.

4th of July!

My experimentation with composition and my camera's timer.

San Diego Beach, and a lonely girl.

My grandma's African Grey, forgot his name, but really gorgeous.

Picture Overload

I said I was selfish last post, but I am willing to share my drawings now. There are only two that I find remotely interesting (the first two images). I'm testing out some new subject matter.

As for the rest, I was really uninspired. But one rainy day, I purchased a dress for a very cheap price. I liked it so much I decided to draw it. So most of the pictures are drawings of my own clothes more or less. Plus, I was really delighted to draw on Bristol.

This is the new subject matter:

Title: The Circulatory System

The Boring/Normal Subject matter:

The first two are not inspired by my wardrobe.
