Self Portrait, and Weirdness

Weird assortment of drawings, quite different from the stuff I usually like drawing. All the ones after the first two were created after I saw some Prada ads. I thought the models looked weird...so I drew some weird ones?? They are wearing animal masks, for some reason. They kinda suck, so whatever.

 My Self-Portrait!

The thing I drew right before my self-portrait!

Frenzy Scribbs

I had a very strong urge to draw on Tuesday night, so I drew these 6 pieces one right after the other. Quality is lacking, but not the quantity!
Also, I was packing for a trip last night, and took some last minute photos of these. The lighting was insufficient so they are quite noisy...please ignore. These photos came out so badly that it looks like I drew them on newsprint.

Pants

I drew these as responses. The first two were the results of me shopping for black pants and watching a video of The Strokes performing.

I drew this after watching Howl's Moving Castle, which is excellently illustrated. This image really has nothing much in common with the movie, though.

Picture Overload

I said I was selfish last post, but I am willing to share my drawings now. There are only two that I find remotely interesting (the first two images). I'm testing out some new subject matter.

As for the rest, I was really uninspired. But one rainy day, I purchased a dress for a very cheap price. I liked it so much I decided to draw it. So most of the pictures are drawings of my own clothes more or less. Plus, I was really delighted to draw on Bristol.

This is the new subject matter:

Title: The Circulatory System

A detail

The Boring/Normal Subject matter:

The first two are not inspired by my wardrobe.

I really like using balloons as subject matter if you haven't guessed.

This is the one that started this "series."

Normal drawings again

I haven't had a lot of free time to draw. When I have had moments to draw, I've drawn little comics. So I haven't drawn any normal scribbs for awhile. These ink sketches take a short time to come into being, but inking them can take a while. I draw them as a source of practice. I try to make them visually interesting and I am a big fan of contrast. Using such cliche subject matter motivates me to make use of all the lines I draw. I would probably not include any of these scribbs in my portfolio. (By the way, I have misplaced my hi-res portfolio; I was going to put some up here.) I guess these drawings are like a guilty pleasure. I've also included an old sketch.

I think this pose is really strange. I'm not sure how it made it this far.

Three

I drew these all on the 16th, but I was too tired to submit them to this "online portfolio."

I have some paintings I would like to put up here....but I think I need to tweak them first.

I think I'm making progress since three of these pictures feature faces.

I think this one looks kind of awkward.

I wanted to make the pants black, but I didn't feel like wasting up my ink. You can just visualize it.

Scribb #13
This was inspired by Death Eaters...somehow.

I tried to post a picture of a painting by Alex Gross, a painter I discovered. However, it was taking to long, and I became impatient. I will end with the link I embedded in that man's name directly above this sentence.

Next Goal: Let them have faces.

Emphasis on hair.

This is similar to one of the previous drawings...Oh well. None of my "models" have faces...
