Sketches

I realized that my pastel drawing The 400 is based of this image. The first one is unrealistic. I accidentally darkened it too much in iphoto. I thought it looked interesting, so I left it.

It looks more like this.

Some details. There are flowers/petals falling from the sky.

I think I drew this in 2007.
More detail.

When I was in 8th grade, I'd draw all these dragon heads. They were pretty good. I can't find an example right now, but I did a quick sketch of this creature below. It's some weird dog/bird/dragon hybrid.

Annoyed by the yellowish tint of the paper.

Detail of eye:

Don't like this one too much. I think I drew this one around 1/16/11

Normal drawings again

I haven't had a lot of free time to draw. When I have had moments to draw, I've drawn little comics. So I haven't drawn any normal scribbs for awhile. These ink sketches take a short time to come into being, but inking them can take a while. I draw them as a source of practice. I try to make them visually interesting and I am a big fan of contrast. Using such cliche subject matter motivates me to make use of all the lines I draw. I would probably not include any of these scribbs in my portfolio. (By the way, I have misplaced my hi-res portfolio; I was going to put some up here.) I guess these drawings are like a guilty pleasure. I've also included an old sketch.

I think this pose is really strange. I'm not sure how it made it this far.
